SCENES FROM SOUTH AMERICA - SERIES #19 (PART 1)

"My parents weren't artistic, but I was always surrounded by beautiful things. And Mexico is a country which has experienced thousands of years of art and culture." - Carlos Slim (Mexican business magnate, investor, and philanthropist).
CABO SAN LUCAS, MEXICO - MARCH 12, 2013 (OVERNIGHT)
From Costa Rica, our next port was supposed to be Nicaragua. That morning the Captain announced that we will not stop at Nicaragua due to the rough seas. What a great disappointment for most of us cruisers. My hubby & I have not been to Nicaragua and would like to get a glimpse of this country. To appease our disappointments, the Captain decided that we will have an overnight at Cabo San Lucas. After four days most cruisers started to get bored at sea. Everyone could hardly wait to reach Cabo San Lucas. Finally after being cooped-up inside the ship for days, we were so happy to be out into the real world.

We Were So Excited To See This Familiar And Famous Sight Of Los Arcos From Our Stateroom. The Ship Anchored Near These Beautiful Rocks, We Were Very Lucky That We Captured This Beautiful View Directly From Our Window.

A Close-Up View Of Los Arcos, One Of The Most Stunning  Natural Rock Beauties That I Had The Privilege To See In My Lifetime.

We Were Tendered To The Nearby Port Of Cabo San Lucas.

Welcome  To Cabo San Lucas, Mexico! So Happy To Be Back!  Rhod, Me And Our Family Did Our First Ocean Cruise On The Mexican Riviera On June 12, 2001. We Celebrated Our 30th Wedding Anniversary. Our First Cruise To The Mexican Riviera Was Unforgettable. Of All The Mexican Ports, Our Favorite Was Cabo San Lucas.

Viva Mexico! Viva Cabo San Lucas! How Wonderful To Be Back Amigos!

A Crowd Of Seagulls On A Boat Named Cabo San Lucas , BCS. This Crowd Of Birds Bought A Smile To Our Faces. They Reminded Us That We Were Like Them - Now, Happy And Free At Last. After Four Days At Sea, It Felt So Good To Out Into The World Like These Playing Birds.

Modern Cabo San Lucas, Continues To Amaze Us. This Resort Never Ends To Bloom And Evolve. Everytime We Visit, There Is New Place Or Attraction Added To The Delight Of Old Timers And New Visitors. Now It Has A Modern Mall And Lots Of New Restaurants.

Posed By Lorenzello, A Nice Lobster House. Very Inviting But Had Second Thoughts. No Appetite For Lobsters Anymore. They Served Lobster Many Times On The Cruise Ship. We Were Hungry For Chinese Food Tonight. Let's Look For A Chino Resto.

In Front Of The Shopping Mall Looking For Chino Resto

Other Front Side Of The Mall. We Finally Found The Chino Resto At The Back. We Laughed As Hunger Started To Crumble In Our Tummies.
We Ate At China Express W/ Gusto. We Ordered Chow Mein, Mongolian Beef And Orange Chicken. The Food Came In Big Platters And We Couldn't Eat Them all. Had The Left Overs To Go And Gave Them To Poor Mexican Family Begging At The Outshirt Of the Resort.
View Of Grand Princess W/ Touristy Thached Huts From The Cabo Port. As We Went Back To Our Ship, It Was Sweet Dreams For Us.  See You Tomorrow!
