Our Dutch Tour Guide Explaining The Mechanics Of How The Windmill Works. The Windmills Had The Dubious Task Of Draining Water From Below-Sea-Level Polders. They Basically Pumped The Water Away From Low-Lying Land And Then Drained It Directly Into The Rivers.  The Windmills, Canals, Dikes, Ditches, Reservoirs, Pumping Stations And  Storage Basins Make Up An Ingenious Water Management Systems. This Is The Most Outstanding And Ingenious Contribution Made By The Dutch People To The Technology Of Water Management System.  Very Fascinating Narrative Especially Considering How Long Ago The Windmills Were Developed.

It Was Really Interesting To Have A Look Around The Inside Of One Of These Old Windmills. We Were Able To Climb The Steep Stairs To See All The Living Areas.

Certainly The Tour Around The Windmill Was Delightful. It Showcased How Families Lived Inside The Windmill.

Old Photographs Of People & Families Who lived Inside The Windmill.

Scary And Stiff Colorful Stairway  Inside The Windmill.

It Turned Out Kinderdijk Is The Authentic Picture Of Holland, I'd Always Imagined. Touring Around In A Land Of Stunning Windmills And Landscape Is Just Incredible. A Great Inspiration To An Artist Like Me. To My Hubby, Who's  An Electronic Engineer, The Amazing Technology Behind The Windmills Was Truly Admirable.
Savoring Simply This Unforgettable Experience. Like A Beautiful Landscape Painting, It Will Last In My Memories Forever.

"It's just a different place. It's slower paced than Italy, less flashy than Italy. But after you've been there for a while and you catch your breath, you look around, and you begin to notice that Holland has windmills, Holland has tulips, Holland even has Rembrandts. - Emily Perl Kingsley"
