TULIPS & WINDMILLS VIKING RIVER CRUISE #8

ANTWERP, BELGIUM - MARCH 31,2014 (Afternoon Tour)
Traveling Is Subjective. Many Travelers Don't See  The  Things  Alike. Everyone Has  A Different Perspective, Taste And Opinions. My Taste In Travel Had To Do More W/ My Passion For Art And Cultural Enrichment.
                                
After Our Delicious Lunch On Board The Viking Bragi, We Had A Lovely Walk Back To The Square. We Spent The Sunny Afternoon On A More Leisurely Pace. We Covered Stops And Spots That We Didn't Have Much Time To Appreciate Earlier.  

               Pat and Catherine Were New Friends We Met On Board.

How Nice To Walk On Wide And Clean Port Walkways, With Many Grassy Areas. There Were Many Colorful Building Along The Port.

Contrasting Architectural Designs. Traditional Versus Modern Style Side By Side. Mixture Of Old & New Made Antwerp Appealing.
 
Another Modern Architecture  We Passed By At The Port.

A Black T-Shirt W/ Antwerpen Name On It.  Surely, Its Nice To Be Here In Antwerp Even For A Day.

Walking Around The Quaint Shopping Stores.  Fortunately We Had Some Nice Weather.

     More Busy Shopping Areas W/ Vibrant Buildings.

Belgian Chocolates Shops Were Everywhere. They Said Belgian Chocolates Were The Best In The World. Flanders Carved Out A Good Reputation For Pralines And Pastries. Yum! Yum!

Leonidas Was One Of Our Favorite Chocolate Shops. Lots Of Free Tasting. The Beautiful Belgian Salesgirls Were Friendlier. So We Bought Lots Of Goodies Here. 

The New and Modern Shopping Mall. Antwerp Had A Great Fashion Scene Hosting Many Fashion Designers And Various Arts. It Got A Young And Trendy Vibe.
 
This Sophisticated Ladies Boutique Reminded Me Of My Sister Who Had The Same Nickname "DIDI.

The Beautiful Hilton Hotel.  We Rested Inside Their Lounge To Soothe Our Aching Feet.
 
After Resting, We Walk Again. A Very Nice Belgian Architecture For Beers & Brews.

Rhod Stopped Here For Free Beer Tasting.

Version Of Belgian Frites Of The Famous French Fries. Eaten W/ Mayonnaise.
 
American Icon Like MacDonald's Is Now Everywhere. Here's A Counterpart In Antwerp, Belgium.

Starbucks Is Also Famous Around Belgium. Hello Starbucks Antwerp!
 
We Passed By This Vibrant Steakhouse Restaurant. Antwerp Had A Very Trendy Setting.

Very Modern And Colorful Outdoor Sitting For Restaurants Surrounded By Antiquities. Contrast, So Interesting To The Eyes.

The Dramatic Cathedral Of Our Lady Towering Above The Antwerp Blue Skyline.  As My Eyes Gazed Into The Heavens, My Endless Gratitude To God For All His Travel  Blessings In Our Lifetime. What A Wonderful Day To Be Here In Antwerp, Belgium
