"Making the simple complicated is commonplace: making the complicated simple, awesomely simple....that's CREATIVITY."- Charles Mingus

It was a beautiful and sunny week-end at Carmel , California. Perfect day for an outdoor art show. I always wanted to see the Carmel Art Festival and this week-end that became a reality. I was intrigued by this handsome bronze sculpture of an artist painting on his canvas. I watched him with delight & amusement.
If he's not a sculpture but a real artist, he's indeed fortunate. What a beautiful and huge park to paint whatever he wanted to. Is he creative? Could he paint a complicated subject and reduce to it's simplest form, line & color? Well...that's CREATIVITY. Turning a complicated subject into a SIMPLE painting.
PRAY PRAY PRAY PRAY PRAY
A LOVELY BIRD AT SUNSET- This bird simply posed by our balcony at the Hyatt Highland Inn,Carmel while my husband & I watched the sunset at dinner time. The presence of a bird is an spiritual moment. We often bowed down and praised God for our daily food & provisions. We have delicious food three times a day. We never experienced hunger here in the U.S. despite of recession. We know that there are many people who are hungry and devastated due to earthquakes & tsunamis in Japan, Haiti, Bali, etc. We are blessed! But also we remember to pray and donate whatever we could help to those in need.
When praying, God has 3 answers-YES, WAIT & NO. My husband was forced to retire early at 62 years old. So we decided to move to the beautiful city of San Diego. We moved in phases and did volunteer works to keep us busy. For a year and a half, we also prayed for a job for my husband. We prayed specifically for a job that is not as stressful as his former management job. Something enjoyable. Something that's close to home. Finally, a recruiter found my husband's name on the Internet. After one interview he was hired and started working as quality engineer last Monday. An answered positive prayer.

MAN-MADE ROCKY FALL AT THE HYATT HIGHLAND INN - CARMEL, CALIFORNIA (2008) In between voluntary works, we like to use our time traveling. We often spent quiet moments at this lovely resort surrounded by nature- huge Monterrey pines, blooming flowers, and great ocean views of the Point Lobos. Our last escapade was Christmas-New Year 2010. Our family spent a week here enjoying it all.
